Antenatal Classes

Poole Bay Maternity Services offer the highest of standards of antenatal labour and birth preparation and education.

By understanding the physiology of normal birth you will have a deep understanding of the birth process, enabling you to make truly informed decisions regarding the labour and birth of your baby. We will show you positions for you and your partner to help your baby be born easily. We cover breathing and coping strategies to help manage those strong sensations associated with giving birth.

We also discuss your pain relief options so you can make a truly informed choice.

We have developed a variety of courses to suit your individual needs ranging from a labour day, to a 6 evening course, to individual classes for those who are unable to commit their time to a full course.

Our classes are informal and relaxed and empowering. We use a variety of teaching styles to sit all learning types to prepare you for labour and birth and early parenting.

Our classes are always small and comfortable. Within easy reach of Poole and Bournemouth, where light refreshments are always available. You will have the opportunity to chat with other couples on the course and start to build those all important friendships that help you adjust to this new and exciting stage of being a parent.
